New bruise ‘reappears’ on Donald Trump’s hand after large mark sparked health fears

The US President’s right hand had sparked health concerns earlier this year

The large bruise on Donald Trump’s right hand has made a return, months after it was first spotted.

In February, the American public noticed something about the President’s appearance when he welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron to the White House to speak about the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

While the topic was important, the attention quickly shifted to the 78-year-old’s hand, as a large bruise was seen on his hand during their meeting.

People started to speculate the Trump was on an IV drip, or that his age meant that he bruised more easily, due to thinning skin.

However, the White House’s press secretary was quick to shut these rumours down, putting it down to the number of hands he has to shake on a daily basis.

The 47th US President is the oldest to ever be inaugurated in the White House, which brought on health concerns from members of the public.

It’s not like the businessman could hide it much anyway, as he is a fan of using his body language and hand gestures to get his points across when speaking.

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters: “President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.

“President Trump is a man of the people, and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history.

“His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.”

But now, eagle-eyed social media users have been quick to spot that the mark has returned, when the President presented the Commander-in-Chief trophy to the Navy Midshipmen football team on Tuesday (15 April).

The trophy was handed to the winner of the American college football series, among teams from the US Army, Navy, and Air Force academies.

Trump could be seen addressing the crowd as he held the pigskin, which had his name inscribed into it.

A championship ring was spotted on his left hand, while the same bruise was seen on his right hand, though it looked like he had tried to cover it up with make-up.

While attention was brought to the bruise earlier this year, it was first spotted in October while he was on the campaign trail, which would back up the point made by Leavitt about bruising due to handshakes.

But despite this, a medical professional has shared their thoughts on the bruise, as Dr Ola Otulana, a GP and physician at Cassiobury Court rehabilitation centre in Watford, shared his expertise with MailOnline.

Dr Otulana claims that it is ‘consistent with a superficial contusion’, telling the publication that it is a result of ‘minor trauma’.

The expert explained: “This could occur from something as everyday as bumping the hand against a hard surface, repeated pressure – for example from leaning on a cane or gripping something firmly – or even medical procedures such as venepuncture, or blood draw.”

Mentioning ‘thinning skin’ and ‘fragile blood vessels’ in older people, the physician said that these conditions can worsen if medications such as Aspirin and anti-inflammatories are used.

Ultimately, Dr Otulana highlighted that it doesn’t flag any huge issues for the President, but if symptoms were to begin, or if it were to persist or spread, then medical attention would be required.

New marks ‘appear’ on Donald Trump’s hands days after large bruise sparked health fears

The state of the 78-year-old’s hand has left his supporters concerned

People claim to have spotted more unusual marks appearing on Donald Trump’s hands, just days after he was seen sporting a large bruise.

Social media users have been keeping a close eye on the US President’s meathooks over the last week after one of them seemed to be black-and-blue.

The contusion was visible on the 78-year-old’s right hand during his meeting with French leader Emmanuel Macron last Monday (February 24).

It sparked concern that Trump‘s second stint in office was taking a physical toll on him – but the White House later insisted it was simply a result of him constantly doling out firm handshakes.

Press secretary Karoline Leavitt, 27, told reporters: “President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day.

“President Trump is a man of the people, and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history.

“His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.”

Maybe a few of the world leaders who have sat down with Trump in the Oval Office over the last seven days gripped his hand a smidge too hard as they greeted one another, eh?

I can certainly think of a few people who would rather offer him a bone-crushing handshake rather than limply extending an arm towards him.

Now, it appears as though two more mystery marks have cropped up on the Commander-in-Chief’s hands, but this time, they are on his palm.

At a White House conference on Monday (March 3), he announced that chipmaking giant Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company is investing $100billion in the US.

As we are all aware, Trump is quite theatrical with both his speech and his body language when he’s in front of the cameras.

So inevitably, he thrust his hands in the air a few times while accentuating his points – revealing a couple of dark marks on the palm of his right hand.

The bruise on the backside of his hand was also still visible.

The cause of these strange marks on his palm, which have seemingly appeared sometime over the last week, currently remains unclear.

LADbible have contacted the White House for comment.

Don’t worry too much about Trump though, as he’s something of a cat with nine lives.

He survived an assassination attempt in July last year, and a visualisation of the shock shooting suggested that it would have been fatal if he didn’t move his head slightly seconds before.

As well as this, he’s the President of the US who has access to the best healthcare in the world – so rest assured, even if the marks are a result of something sinister, Trump will be in good hands.

A large bruise spotted on Donald Trump’s hand has been explained after fears for the president’s health went viral.

At 78-years-old, Trump is currently the oldest president to be inaugurated in the White House, beating his predecessor Joe Biden by around 160 days. Trump would regularly make fun of Biden’s age and capability to lead the country – frequently referring to him as ‘Sleepy Joe’ – however it would appear the former businessman may not be immune to the effects of aging either.

Rumours began to circulate about whether or not the 78-year-old was as fighting fit as he claimed after a large bruise was spotted on his hand during a meeting with French leader Emmanuel Macron this week.

Trump met with the Macron in the White House’s Oval Office on Monday (24 February) to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine; however many people were more intrigued by the large discolouration on the president’s hand and wondered if his body was already showing strain from leadership.

“Some photos over the lasr [sic] few months show bruising on Trump’s hand. Maybe bruising from an iv. Always seems to be on the same hand,” one person wrote on X.

“That’s the kind of IV bruise you get when you’re on blood thinners. What are they pumping him with,” a second person questioned, while a third wrote: “This is the second time I have seen this. Are they hiding something?”

Meanwhile others were quick to point out that Trump is close to 80-years-old and that older people bruise easily due to thinning skin.

To be fair my grandma also has bruises on her hands at age 79 and has had them for years. It’s just something that happens when you’re old and trump is OLD,” a fourth person weighed in.

Concerns over the bruise have since made their way back to the ears of the White House, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt claiming the injury was down to the fact that Trump is a busy man.

“President Trump is a man of the people and he meets more Americans and shakes their hands on a daily basis than any other president in history,” she said, via LBC.

“His commitment is unwavering and he proves that every single day.”

“President Trump has bruises on his hand because he’s constantly working and shaking hands all day every day,” she added in a second statement.

Trump is certainly no stranger to a crushing handshake, with the US president going viral once again after being photographed awkwardly grappling with his French counterpart’s hand during their meeting.

Donald Trump has been called out for sharing a controversial video of an air strike on his social media platform.

The US President uploaded a clip of an apparent military airstrike against Houthi rebels in Yemen on Truth Social on Friday evening (4 April).

In the footage, which looks to have been shot by a drone, there are around 70 people standing in an oval circle. Moments later, there is an air strike explosion, leaving behind dozens of lifeless bodies around a crater.

Trump, 78, said the targets were ‘Houthi terrorists’ who were plotting an attack against commercial vessels in the red Sea using the Suez Canal in Egypt.

“These Houthis gathered for instructions on an attack. Oops, there will be no attack by these Houthis!” he wrote alongside the video. “They will never sink our ships again!”

The Houthis are an armed political and religious group dominantly made up of Zaydi Shias. They consider Israel to be the enemy.

Last month, Trump said that the ‘Iran-backed Houthi terrorists have been decimated by the relentless strikes over the past two weeks’.

“Many of their Fighters and Leaders are no longer with us,” he wrote on 31 March. “We hit them every day and night — Harder and harder. Their capabilities that threaten Shipping and the Region are rapidly being destroyed.

“Our attacks will continue until they are no longer a threat to Freedom of Navigation. The choice for the Houthis is clear: Stop shooting at U.S. ships, and we will stop shooting at you.

“Otherwise, we have only just begun, and the real pain is yet to come, for both the Houthis and their sponsors in Iran.”

Although Trump insists that he’s targeted Houthi rebels, some viewers have slammed his decision.

On X, one person claimed: “It was a tribal gathering. They were just villagers celebrating Eid ul-Fitr, and you bombed them.”

“You promised to end the war, but instead, you fuelled it,” they added, while another wrote: “It was a gathering of celebration, something known to tribes in Yemen.”

Someone else also said: “I cannot believe the president of the United States is posting something like this…”

This comes after White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday that ‘Iran is incredibly weakened as a result of these attacks, and we have seen they have taken out Houthi leaders’.

“They’ve taken out critical members who were launching strikes on naval ships and on commercial vessels and this operation will not stop until the freedom of navigation in this region is restored,” she said, adding that more than 200 strikes were carried out in a single day.

Donald Trump lawmaker tries to defend imposing tariffs on penguins living on uninhabited islands

You never know what those penguins might be up to

It’s been nearly a week since Donald Trump seemingly kicked off a global trade war thanks to his ‘Liberation Day’ tariffs.

The tariffs, which the 78-year-old claims will restore the country’s financial freedom and ‘Make America Wealthy Again’, have caused serious economic havoc especially among tech corporations, with their owners losing billions of dollars already.

Nearly every country in the world, other than Canada, Russia and Mexico, were included on the president’s list of places where tariffs would be imposed, but it seems as if the Trump administration made one pretty embarrassing error when putting the list together.

If you haven’t been keeping up with the news, the tariffs mean that a percentage of the goods US citizens buy from abroad will now be taken from the producers and manufacturers and go straight into the American government’s back pocket.

Now, this could see the price of an iPhone drastically increase, due to the harsh tariffs imposed on China where the Apple product is mass produced, but the government will probably make a little less money from the 10 percent tariffs they imposed on the Heard and McDonald Islands in the Antarctic.

It would be tricky to purchase anything made on those islands, given that they are uninhabited by humans and are mainly populated by penguins and seals. So, unless they’re the gadget-savvy penguins from Madagascar, you’re unlikely to find your latest computer or air fryer being produced there.

However, one of Trump’s lawmakers has now attempted to defend the bizarre decision.

Speaking on CBS’s Face the Nation, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick tried to justify the move by saying they wanted no countries to be left off the list.

He said: “What happens is, if you leave anything off the list, the countries that try to basically arbitrage America go through those countries to us. Any country. Like, we had tariffs – the president put tariffs on China, right, in 2018 – and then what China started doing is they started going through other countries to America.

“They just built through other countries, through America. And so the president knows that, he’s tired of it, and he’s going to fix that. So basically he said, ‘Look, I can’t let any part of the world be a place where China or other countries can ship through them’.”

Australia owns the islands, and its trade minister even suggested the tariffs were ‘clearly a mistake’.

Don Farrell told ABC: “Poor old penguins, I don’t know what they did to Trump, but, look, I think it’s an indication, to be honest with you, that this was a rushed process.”
